Information Technology Overview
The Deens Academy believes that information technology promotes active learning, allows teachers to share information efficiently and maintain proficiency, enables administrators to manage the school more effectively, and facilitates timely communications between students, teachers, administrators and parents through its efficient intranet and parent centres.
The School administrative software enables parents to track student status and progress at all times. It also enables payments to be made online by parents.
With a view to save the environment, Deens has a reduction of usage of paper policy; hence all communication/circulars are sent via mail or posted on the website.
The Maths lab is equipped with the software Mindspark, catering to every individual child. Mindspark is a computer based self-learning programme that helps the child improve his/her skills in Maths. It allows each student to follow a learning path that is based on his need.. The software accessed on the internet can be worked on by students from the comfort of their homes to acting as reinforcement of what is dealt with in class
The fully equipped state-of-art English lab enables students to charter their own learning through an active hands-on approach, at a pace that is of comfort to each. With personal computers for each child, students develop skills through problem solving and challenges using the software, to develop their speaking and listening skills. The lab is manned by a trained instructor who takes the child through a programme that is mapped to the existing curriculum at School.
