Co-Curricular Activities

Co-Curricular Activities at Deens include the following:

  • Sports: Playing games is healthy, fun and physically invigorating. At our school, outdoor activities and physical education go hand-in-hand with the rest of the curriculum. Sport is practiced in its many forms and in all its diversity at Deens. Students learn a variety of games teamed with training in athletics, football, cricket, basketball and disciplining via Mass PT.
  • Art & Craft:Our graded curriculum in art and craft, offers our students ample opportunities to explore their aesthetic impulses under the guidance of expert teachers. While students are urged to explore their creativity, they are also schooled in technique and taught the basics of drawing, sketching, painting and colouring. The visual arts course stretches beyond two dimensions and includes craft and pottery as well. The art created by our students is proudly displayed around the campus.
  • Dance:  Dance fuses physical movement with artistic expression in a way that is physically demanding as well as mentally relaxing. Our students get to dabble in assorted dance forms, from Indian folk to Western dance forms with dedicated classes. What’s more, The Deens Academy boasts an ergonomic, state-of-the-art dance studio where our students can dance safely and joyfully.
  • Music: The music programme at The Deens Academy educates students about the different movements in music, introduces the great composers and performers and encourages children to respond to music in an authentic and original way. We offer vocal training and singing lessons with an extensive repertoire of songs from Indian classical music, patriotic songs , jazz and Christmas carols. Those with the aptitude are encouraged to use the instruments in the music room as well. The school band is yet another avenue for the musically inclined.
  • Yoga: Many intrinsic qualities like combating anger, inability to concentrate, indiscipline can all be achieved by introducing yoga to kids at the young age. They also become more calm and disciplined along with becoming more flexible. Yoga the ancient Indian art is compulsory class for all children throughout our school.
