1 Transport issues & concerns from the school’s perspective Northstar was not working and parents were anxious about whereabouts of the bus once children boarded

b. inordinate time taken by buses throwing schedules intimated by school awry

a. WhatsApp group will be created from Day 1 for communication to happen

b. A mail to parents intimating the tentative dates for Northstar to commence its services

c. WhatsApp group can have an intimation as soon as the buses leave campuses, so parents can estimate travel time

2 Construction at Gunjur Branch Principal gives an update of construction activity and how security has been affirmed a. Construction area is completed cordoned off with security and supervisory staff managing the area

b. Vehicular & worker movements happen only before 7.30 am and after 3.30 pm

c. Should there be a need for a vehicle to come into the site, it will be accompanied by the security staff

5 Construction at Whitefield Branch Concern regarding construction at the basketball court a. Email IDs of management will be shared for parents to address this directly to the Management

Facilities Related State of washrooms

 

a. School assures parents that washrooms are clean and hygienic. Water spills are the only issues to be found- this is natural cannot be avoided at all times

b. Additional washrooms for the North Block being constructed at WF campus

c. Washrooms at the swimming pool will be checked for them being user friendly

Parking along the roadside in front of the WF branch of the school a. It was suggested to install NO Parking boards in the area

b. Seek permission from the authorities to stick ‘I Was Parked In A No Parking Zone’ stickers

Clean up footpath adjacent to the school Will be done this time around
7 Induction of New PSA Members Based on recommendations New members inducted from KiDeens Borewell road, Ramagondanahalli and Gunjur campuses
8 Additional points discussed New teachers taking time to orient themselves to school systems School is certain that this is not true because there are mentors with these new teachers at all times

Volksfiesta 2018

Volksfiesta” – the people’s festival, hosted by Deens Academy, 20th to 31st August 2018 at the Gunjur campus

​Our theme this year is ‘Zest’ (Simple Pleasures).

“The great essentials of Happiness in life  is something to do, something to love and something to hope for” .

Volksfiesta strives to explore these simple solutions and more in our people’s fest which is focused on zest with some invigorating competitions for Kindergarten to Grade12.  Volksfiesta presents an opportunity to showcase talents and build on excellence through competition with the best.

The Deens Academy  invites you to compete with your best and the brightest contingent  for the assurance of taking back the glory symbolized by the ‘Volksfiesta Trophy’, on Friday the 31st of August 2018 at TheDeens Academy, Gunjur campus .

It is our pleasure to be your host and not a participant except in the sporting categories in this event.Please read through to familiarize yourself with the guidelines  and other arrangements. Registration forms can be downloaded by clicking on the events posters or from the following page Registration forms.

Registrations need to be sent online on or before 20th August.The original registration forms and registration fees of Rs 100 per participant needs to be submitted on the day of the event. On 29th August we host Swimming at the Deens Academy Whitefield campus

On 30th and 31st August we host both Football ( Grade 9-12 and Under6) and Basketball ( Grade 9-12) at the Deens Academy Gunjur campus

On 31st August we host various cultural competitions for Grade 1-12. These are listed according to grades . Details can be viewed and downloaded by clicking on the images

Grade 1-5 event include swimming which will be held at the Whitefield campus on 29th August and all other events which will be held at the Gunjur campus on 30th August.

Events for middle school will be conducted 31st August

Events for Grade 9-12 will be hosted on 30th and 31st. Sports events will begin on 30th August and Cultural events will be conducted on the 31st August.

CBSE Grade X 2018 Toppers

Deens Academy congratulates the students,parents and teachers of the graduating class of Grade X 2018. Over 50% of the class has scored above 90% in their board exams. A large number of children have missed 90% by a whisker. Their achievement is as valuable to us.

1. Issues with Teachers  especially attitude Shanthi Madam explained the mentoring program that is put in place for teachers.

Any individual case of any complaint of teacher having any attitudinal issue can be brought to her notice

2. Syllabus especially the level of Hindi in junior level  Shanthi madam explained that level is high in junior level to prepare the students for the higher level where the syllabus of Hindi is indeed tough. Hence school felt the need to keep the syllabus tough Nil
3. Safety Audits & security Shanthi madam explained that Safety audits are done by external agency and every teacher is also responsible as a Safety ambassador

PSA members also brought to her notice the gaps in security set up wherein children in buses are being dropped to servants without insisting on ID card.

4. Expansion / construction near Basketball court Expansion of canteen and workshop facility. NA
5. Audits by PSA members  PSA members can form a group or individually audit different areas like bus, canteen, security etc. They need to wear the PSA tag and carry it with them during audit. Any audit inside school premises can be informed to reception before commencing the same PSA members
6. Enrollment of non teaching school staff in various social security schemes Non-teaching school staff are vulnerable and need to be made aware of various social security schemes like PMJSY, PMJJY and PMUY. PSA members will coordinate with Axis Bank and other agencies along with school to facilitate the same.
